Could be: Just to be certain,I would have your doctor check to make sure it's not an abscess or something else since hemorrhoidal pain is usually localized to the area of the hemorrhoid.

Possibly: Varicose veins on the inside of your rectum are known as internal hemorrhoids.  They and bleed and prolapse when you defecate.  Persistent straining can cause engorgement - as prolonged standing mades varicose veins on your legs distend more.  If you do not yet have hemorrhoid problems yet (itch, burn, prolapse, bleeding), optimizing your fiber/hydration balance will be helpful.

Sort of: Both are the result of vein problems and both result from excess pressure within the affected veins.  It is possible to get one without the other, though, and if you have one, you aren't necessarily more likely to get the other. Varicose veins and hemorrhoids are both common problems that happen commonly, often in the same person, even if they aren't really connected to each other.

They are both veins: However varicose veins are due to incompetent valves in the veins that allows blood to pool and dilate the veins causing cosmetic issues and pain. Hemorrhoids are generally not varicose veins but rather normal veins in the anal area that can become symptomatic with pain and/or bleeding when we abuse them with diarrhea or constipation.

Possibly.: Tenderness to the touch isn't strictly speaking "referred pain" but pain in areas that have the same nerve supply as the rectum certainly is.  I'm left with a question for you, however.  Are you certain that your symptoms are caused by hemorrhoids?  I recommend that, the next time this happens, you see a doctor to be sure.  Herpes, for example, can cause similar symptoms.

jameigh has issues pooping on her own. we have to bend her legs and pull out the poop. her issue makes her bleed and have hemorrhoids. what can i do?
