Hand swelling: Best way to get swelling down in your hand is to elevate above your heart. Then you need to explain why it is swelling.  Was there some activity that caused it to swell ? For now, keep it elevated and apply ice.

Carpal tunnel syndr.: You may have carpal tunnel syndrome in that hand (tightness of the tissues in the wrist), High salt intake can make it worse. Decrease salt intake: reduce it by 1 shake of salt a day on everything, and you will eventually be down to one! and then it will taste just as salty as it does now.  See your primary care doc about your hand, and you can get a firm diagnosis and treatment. or referral.
