i had a pap test and biopsy done 3 days ago. and today i am experiencing very heavy bleeding, along with cramps and feeling dizzy. is this normal?

Not likely!: With heavy bleeding and feeling dizzy you may have lost a lot of blood. You should call the doctor who did the procedure (there should be someone on call if not the person who did the biopsy) or have someone bring you to the emergency room.

Post Pap bleeding: At 34 there are many women who have chronic inflammation of the cervix (entrance to the womb) from where a  pap smear is taken.  The inflamed area can cause persistent bleeding, but  should resolve. If the bleeding continues, go back to the provider who performed the pap smear and have an exam.

Not normal: Pap smear not associated with vaginal bleeding.  If exam of cervix showed irritation there is always possibility of in-situ lesion of cervix but bx needed for dx.  Blleeding if not obvious on cervical exam suggests origin from endometrium.  Sonogram of uterus to see lining and possible bx of endometrium to see if that is site of blood.

Not uncommon: When the pap smear was done the MD probably noted cervical redness and inflammation with blood vessels visible on the cervical surface. A pap smear involves cervical "scraping" which can in of itself produce bleeding post procedure, let alone when the surface  blood vessels are  present and easily interrupted.

ive had my period for over two weeks whilst on the pill  fairly heavy bleeding cramping could this be purley due to stress as i take my pill on time my last pap test came back irregular results and due for yearly pap test in june please help worried !

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very normal on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

my wife age 42 has hsv1+cmv co-infection, adenomyosis, bulky ovary and cervix. doc pescribe pap semar.can pap test result get abnormal and detect hsv1? why she facing white discharge,heavy bleeding after many yrs of infection at the age of 26?

: Both HSV and CMV continue as latent infections. The PAP smear may if done well detect HPV infection. There is no need to be looking for HSV1 since you already have the diagnosis, the PAP smear is to screen for cervical cancer since early detection could lead to quick intervention and better outcome.

Interm vag bleed: Ovulation may cause a one day spotting two weeks before menstruation. Implantation bleeding occurs ~7 days after ovulation. Sloughing of the endometrium ( which os not detected by pap test ) could be because lack of hormones.

Ok, monitor: Bleeding after a Pap test is usually small in amount and lasts only for a few days, and starts to get slow pretty quickly. So, if your bleeding continues, is heavy, or prolonged, then let your provider know.

No: Typically a Pap test does not produce bleeding unless there was something going on at the time such as a mild case of cervicitis (mild vaginal infection), a possible polyp that was disturbed etc.. Best to call the physician who performed the Pap and report your symptoms especially if you think the bleeding is heavy

PID pain more common: PID causes a great deal of pain with sex and likely makes the recipient forget that the reason for the encounter was "pleasure". Post sex bleeding is a very unlikely presentation for PID.
