Not sure what u mean: Do you mean palpitations or fluttering? Chest pains? You should probably speak with your cardiologist about it.

Hyokinesis: Describes an area of the heart not contracting as well as the other areas around it. Can come from a lack of sufficient blood flow to the heart muscle in that area, or could indicate damage from a previous heart attack.

Accepted Answer

Usually no worry: Premature beats n both the upper part of the heart (the atria) and the lower part (the ventricles) are very common and occur at times in almost everyone. So usually no treatment, or concern, is needed, especially if not felt and no symptoms. A common cause can be stimulants such as nicotine and caffeine, so maybe cut down! if something changes be seen.

i've recently seen some conflicting reports about certain heart medications and the covid. should my dad continue to take his medications?

Yes: Don't allow him to discontinue important heart, blood pressure or other prescribed medications without his physicians supervision.  It has been established that blood pressure medications of the ACE inhibitor class(example:lisinopril) or ARB class(example: losartan) are not harmful during a covid19 infection and don't need to be discontinued.

seen my heart dr yesterday. after exam he said he thinks my heart flutter is benign but ordered test to be sure. should i worry, 31 healthy.

Abnormal: Flutter is always abnormal. Now it might be &quot;rate controlled&quot; or compensated. Regardless i think he might have spoken to you about about being on medications, of-course a full work up , a close follow up strategy and also a referral to a cardiologist for expert management.

i'm 47 and suffer from severe edema the last 2 1/2 yrs. seen kidney heart dr and endocranologist who can't figure it out. who do i see, i need help.

Edema: You really need to ask each dr. What they believe the problem is. Edema isn't generally all that hard to figure out and you've seen specialists appropriate to make the diagnosis. Sometimes it is just bad lower extremity veins causing the lower extremity edema but there isn't enough information here to speculate.

is it likely living with a hemoglobin between 20-30 for several years would cause heart damage? if so what damage would likely be seen on an echo? there was no serious cause for the low hb, i'm a 32yo?

: Let me start with the final sentence.
I would look under every rock , until I found the cause of your anemia . 
It is not normal and not long term healthy.  
Logic Sez , if your anemia results in a high output state for your heart ( and you develop coronary or valvular disease ) the anemia makes things worse.

: Not necessarily. Why was the echo done? What symptoms do you have?  It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some other tests.

i have been feeling shaky and a racing heart for 3 days. my bp is slightly elevated 127/75. should i be seen or is it just anxiety?

: I would invest in a BP monitor ($20-50) and take it occasionally when you are at home and rested. Anxiety can elevate your BP. The cited level is not worrisome at your age but deserves monitoring. I would have an annual checkup and bring in a list of any health concerns when you go.

how often have you seen heart attacks in patients 25-30? is it common? i am doing a paper for class,  and doing some averages. thanks in advance!

Heart attack: Heart attack happens in the 25-30 age group but it is very uncommon. Check with the american heart association for recent statistics, i don't have numbers to give you.
