Anyways, go for it under your doctor's direction. I say it's worth a shot as opposed to prescription medication at your young age.

May be: Why are you taking these supplements? Were these prescribed by a doctor? If you take a mixed diet, exercise and maintain a normal weight, you do not need these supplements. Any medication can have ill effects and un-needed medications are not doing you any good.

Almost certainly: Alpha lipoic acid is always in our bodies as we synthesize it. It's very safe without serious side effects. Like most supps.
