Unknown: Studies have shown that people who drink a lot of soda have lower bone density (osteoporosis).  However, the studies on osteoporosis and fracture/bone healing have not shown definitely slowed healing - more studies will be needed to answer this question.

No magic: Plenty of protein, enough vitamin d, vitamin c, zinc and calcium. Generally, a prudent & healthy diet as you'd do well to follow at all times. A cheap daily vitamin-and-mineral supplement might be in order as you recover from injury. You'd get the idea from the internet that food choice is the key to medical treatment -- it's not.

Difficult to heal.: Under the best of circumstances, sesamoid bones are difficult to heal. Having said that, it is at times to determine if the sesamoid is actually broken. This is because sesamoids can be in two, three and even more pieces, naturally. It is prudent to x-ray the opposite foot to see if the sesamoids show the same mono, bi, tri or multi partite pattern. If truly fractured, it may need to be removed.

Some: Correct that you may grow some more if growth plates not fused, and if receive treatment. But also check family heights--if they are all about 5'4", then don't expect to become a basketball player. Might gain a few inches with treatment.

Multiple: N-telopeptide in urine is an older one. It is measured on the second voided urine specimen of the day and so is a little complicated to get. C-telopeptide is a newer one that is measured in blood-can be collected anytime so is used more often. If treatment is good, these markers will be low (they are measures of bone turnover). Your 25 hydroxy vitamin d level should also be above 30.

None: I am not aware of extra bone in your ribs of course it is possible to have cancer or metastatic disease  but given your age and lack of any symptoms i would not worry about it i hope that helps put your mind at ease.
