See a TMJ Doctor: If all the test mentioned resulted to negative findings, have your temporomandibular joint checked by a dentist . If the jaws are not aligned, it can cause vertigo that can be caused by the irritation of the bilaminar zone behind the joint . You may need to wear a proper splint and later on, an orthopedic appliance, .. If that's the case.

Consult w dentist: Hard to answer this without more info.  Factors can include the # and location of extractions, how long ago it was done, how well you are healing, the pain meds you are taking, and others.  Best to consult with the dr who treated you to discuss the many possibilities and narrow them down to find the cause and a solution.

Happens: You are likely dehydrated and relaxing after your system released lots of Epinephrine due to anxiety. Sit down or lay back a little bit and start to take on lots of fluids. Think liters, not glasses. You should be fine. Good luck.

Headache: Do you normally get headaches?   if you do, then I would not be overly concerned.    If you do not normally get headaches, then I am somewhat concerned, and think you should tell the doctor who did the procedure.  I imagine they gave you some pain meds.  You could take a dose and see if that helps - along with some extra hydration.

Call dentist: This can happen.  Take the pain medication perscribed by the dentist or oral surgeon.  If they did not prescribe anything you can take ibuprophen 600 mg and 2 tylenol (acetaminophen) every 6 hours, of these are safe for you.  Call  your dentist or oral surgeon about your severe pain.

Healing socket: The appearance of a healing socket varies greatly. You did not mention how long ago the tooth was extracted, and whether the pain/soreness is getting better, worse or the same?  It doesn't sound like there is anything to be concerned about. However, we can't determine this over the internet, so contact your own dentist for your peace of mind.

See your PCP: There are a number of things that can cause a headache to develop after extraction. Often after a tooth extraction you are prescribed opiates (e.g. Vicodin) Headaches are one of the side effects associated with opiates. Another reason could be caffeine withdrawal, stress or cervicogenic headache. Regardless, see your primary care physician for evaluation.

Wisdom tooth: extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, swelling, headache  and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. Pain after 7 days is a serious issue. See your dentist/surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment. Take care.

No: It's not common to have prolonged headaches after removal of wisdom teeth. You should contact your oral surgeon to discuss and perhaps go in for evaluation. Headaches after surgery are most commonly due to dietary changes and medication side effects. Talk to your doctor!
