how should i disinfect my child's room if they had head lice? my child has head lice.  how should i go about making sure that her environment is properly sanitized?

You : You need to vaccum well. Clean all hard surfaces. Clean all linen, clothing, towels, soft toys that she has been in contact with. You can put some items into large plastic bags, that are tied off. If you have a steamer that would work great. Good luck. It can be a lot of work. P.S. Sofas and big chairs are often the areas that don't get cleaned well enough.

i put hand sanitizer with 70% ethyl alcohol on a very open cut on my head. will i get alcohol poisoning? i put a decent amount

Probably not herpes: Herpes doesn't cause this sort of problem, especially when it lasts several months. This sounds like garden variety fungal (yeast) or nonspecific balanitis, very common in uncircumcised men. Probably not caused by hand sanitizer, even if that was just before the problem started. Retract foreskin and wash 2x daily w/ soap &amp; water. See a dermatologist if it continues after that.

i used hand sanitizer twice today the skin on my right hand is broken will this effect my immune system or anything on my body?

Likely not: It is likely no more important than a scratch on your skin surface. Keep the area clean and avoid the hand sanitizer for a week or so and the skin should self heal.

my lip touched a small amount of hand sanitizer when i was applying it. im not sure whether i swallowed it or not. will i be okay?

: I wouldn't think so. Most are ethyl alcohol ( the stuff some people like to drink). There are some of other kinds of alcohol or other additives but the amount of exposure listed does not suggest there would be a problem.

my sons hands have reacted terribly to hand sanitizer. they are very dry and red, almost look sunburnt. is there anyway to treat or avoid this? perhaps a safer hand sanitizer for sensitive skin?

Hand washing.:  Why not just have him wash his hands with a moisturizing soap with warm water (not hot).  Hand washing with good technique is the gold standard.

i never touch my face or pop pimples. i touched a pimple by accident, it didnt pop & i used a hand sanitizer wipe right after but can the bacteria from the pimple spread onto my hand and than other things i touch?

Skin Tear: A wound should not have anything toxic on it. Hand sanitizer is toxic because the contents have alcohol. While it can kill bacteria, it also kills good healthy cells interrupting a healing process.

Yes: Profuse rinse with water while you blink is best.  If the eye remains irritated see an eye doc.

No problem: A small amount of hand sanitizer in your mouth is harmless. If mouth is a bit irritated, just rinse frequently with water, but if no symptoms at this point, unlikely any will develop.
