just got diagnosed with hashimotos, been getting nauseous after eating gluten food, never been gluten intolerant before. is this normal ?

Nausea &amp; Hypothyroid: 24 year old lady with recent diagnosis of Hashimotos Thyroiditis now with nausea that she attributes to gluten. Studies show that Hashimoto's thyroiditis can cause goiter and swelling of the throat, and hypothyroidism. What were the findings on your physical exam? If your Hashimoto's causes hypothyroidism and it were the cause of your nausea, treating the underlying prob would help.

ive heard about this new study going around saying dairy and gluten are inflammatory,so those with hashimotos hypothyroidism shouldnt eat these things. is it true and if so why?

Hashimoto's: Hashimoto's hypothyroidism is an autoimmune disorder and I don't think there is any relationship to lactose or gluten intolerance or sensitivity. It is easily controlled by appropriate thyroid supplement treatment. An endocrinologist or thyroidologist can advise you best  If diet plays any role in this disorder.

can gluten diet, milk and soy products dangerous for hashimoto's patients?

Not per se: Hi. Gluten, milk, and soy are not dangerous for Hashimoto's patients per se. If one has celiac disease (another autoimmune disease), gluten must be avoided. If one has lactose intolerance, milk should be avoided (or else people will smell your approach!). If one has soy allergy, soy must be avoided. But simply having Hashimoto's doesn't make any of those foods dangerous. Live healthily!

Explanation : So far no reliable scientific facts to connect Hashimoto thyroiditis with gluten - gluten intolerance or sensitivity. Something that may be confusing you that both condition have autoimmune component in their development. But NO relations between them.

No: Gluten free helps only those who are sensitive to gluten and has no health benefits (potentially nutritional issue) otherwise. I hope you are under the care of an endocrinologist since thyroiditis is usually controllable.

No, but...: Both celiac sprue ( gluten enteropathy) and hashimoto thyroid disease are autoimmune disorders-distant cousins, also related to lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, other. All are separate entities. Presence of one increased association (not causation) of others.

i have hashimotos and pcos how hard will it be for me to get pregnant.i am not ovulating at the moment that i know of but have just gone gluten free.?

Might be harder: I don't see how the gluten free diet will help, but if you're thyroid levels are normal (blood tests can determine this) and your pcos is being adequately managed, your chances are higher. One of the hallmarks of pcos is anovulation or irregular menses, so getting this regular will improve your chances. This can be done with weight loss (very important) or medicines.

No: It has nothing to do with gluten if you don't have gluten intolerance. Check with your doctor to up your thyroid dose.    If necessary, see an endocrinologist.

i have hashimoto's & can't seem to lose weight. my tsh is .097 & ft3 2.7. i'm on a gluten free diet, rarely eat processed foods & keep cals @ 1200-1500 calories/day. i used to do fitness comps & have tried everything but am not seeing results.

To lose weight: you have to eat only 1200 calories.  It is not your thyroid, your tests are a bit high.  Are you taking thyroid therapy?  text at 516-405-0951

have hashimotos and on 100 mcgs synthroid. tsh3.46 but free t4 slightly elevated at 1.84 (high end of range 1.78) is this of concern?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the results you provided are not a cause for concern.    Wish you good health!
