Nausea & Hypothyroid: 24 year old lady with recent diagnosis of Hashimotos Thyroiditis now with nausea that she attributes to gluten. Studies show that Hashimoto's thyroiditis can cause goiter and swelling of the throat, and hypothyroidism. What were the findings on your physical exam? If your Hashimoto's causes hypothyroidism and it were the cause of your nausea, treating the underlying prob would help.
