A member asked:

Does going gluten free help with hashimoto's thyroiditis? or can you recommend anything that will help? medication isn't helping with symptoms at all.

Dr. John Chiu answered

No: Gluten free helps only those who are sensitive to gluten and has no health benefits (potentially nutritional issue) otherwise. I hope you are under the care of an endocrinologist since thyroiditis is usually controllable.
