Lipoma: A lipoma is a slow-growing, fatty lump that's most often situated between your skin and the underlying muscle layer. Often a lipoma is easy to identify because it moves readily with slight finger pressure. It's doughy to touch and usually not tender. A lipoma isn't cancer and is usually harmless. If it does bother you the only to take out surgically.

i got a knot on back of my neck about an inch long and dark in color it burns when i turn neck to the right same side it is on i was in the hospital about 3 years ago and they said my arteres are block 45% could this be a clot i am poor so it hard to get

It : It is hard for me to know what that area could be, but I do think it should be evaluated, especially as it sounds like you have a complicated medical history.  An area of pain and burning on your neck that is dark in color should be evaluated by a physician.  If you have pain, fever, any weakness or numbness, then you would need to be seen as an emergency.

Tension: This sounds like muscle tension.it can be quite painful and lead to headache. If you have the opportunity to have a massage that would help. Stretch the neck muscles too and you can try some ibuprofen.

Infected cyst??: Sounds like you might have had a sebaceous cyst which got infected, hence it is harder and tender now. These are benign swellings in the skin occurring near a hair. 
See your doc/surgeon about it for proper DX and treatment.

You're Normal: If you are not hurting and it doesn't hurt when your press that is normal, nothing to worry about.  If you are in pain and can't find the pain when your press, then it suggests something deeper is the cause of your pain and needs further evaluation.
