how is hip arthritus diagnosed? just had surgery, spinal stenosis. had a burning feeling in my left leg, still experience a lot of pain. dr informed me without taking any further test that is is arthritus? is this pissible?

i went for a spinal correction surger about 2+ years ago, everything was fine but for almost a year now ive been exspercieng extreme hip and lower back pain.

kindly advise what to do as i cant keep on taking pain meds to ease the pain?

Back pain: Double check with your surgeon, if you have not already.  Physical therapy would very likely help and doing regular back exercises. Epidural steroid may be of help and chiropactic or message therapy can be a benefit.

i undergone through surgery of excision of spinal tumor and bony spur of diastometaymelia type-1 at l1-l2  and was discharged on 11-aug 2018..till date still my left leg  below knee is  partly numb toe and ankle and feeling lot of burning sensation ?

Neurosurgeon: I presume there was significant, unavoidable nerve tissue injury during the course of spinal surgery. Often slow but partial  improvement over many months occurs. Your neurosurgeon is best to answer your question or whether symptoms will be permanent as he/she knows what types of resections were done and what your postop status was on follow-up exams.

is it ok to have 2 surgeries close together? i am having cmc arthroplasty on mar 10 and i need a hip tendon release. my choices for dates for that are 2/19 or 4/16. does it matter or should i choose the april appointment as it's a bit longer  between?

SHOULD BE FINE: You should be fine to proceed as those procedures are seperate and anatomically distinct.  The one concern I would have is if you will require use of a crutch after your hip surgery you may need a modified crutch for use on the arm that has the cmc arthroplasty.

More pro than cons: the surgery is indicated to save a nerve that has been pressure by a herniated disc,otherwise the patient will end up with permanent nerve damage.not for pain.
the pros for fusion is to stabilize the level above and below the herniated disc level,to prevent recurrence or other level collapsing,preferably with a bone graft.
the cons may be limit of motion depending how many level has to be fused.
