URI: Those are symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection and bronchitis that is likely caused by viruses. I would take OTC relief medications and if not improving or started to have fever see PCP

i have an ear ache that started yesterday. now the whole left side of my head hurts. even when i touch my hair. my skin tingles and my eye hurts.

Maybe Shingles: Shingles, or herpes zoster infection often presents as surface pain.  A short time later you might begin to see raised red areas on the skin.  If you do, then contact your PCP or dermatologist as soon as possible so they can start you on anti-viral meds ASAP.  It shortens the course of the illness.

Ear exam needed: It could be a viral throat infection, but an earache could indicate a middle ear infection which requires oral antibiotic treatment. A throat culture should also be done before starting antibiotics. Discomfort on hair brushing is nonspecific.

Tmj: You likely have tmj.  A way to tell is to open and close the jaw with a finger placed in the TMJ socket which is roughly the pocket created when one opens the mouth and places a finger directly in front of the ear canal right at the level of the sideburns.  Softer foods, warm compresses and Motrin should help. Avoid gum chewing. Other option is migraine.

Possible earinfectio: ear pain can be generated from your ear, or a bad tooth, or from jaw pain, like TMJ.

if you have a fever, it would suggest an infection, which may require antibiotics to clear.

Migraine or vascular: If your hearing is normal, i doubt the ear is the source of the pain.  There are many structures at the side of the face. These include the jaw joint, muscles that close the jaw, the teeth and gums.  Inflammation of these structures can refer pain to the side of the head.  Conversely, head pain can be caused by migraine, inflammation of vascular structures.  See your primary doc.

Middle ear problem?: You may have congestion of the inner ear. You could try clearing your sinuses with saline stay or a medicated nose spray. If it doesn't get better within a few hours it would be a good idea to see a doctor.

Stress: At your age it is probably stress headache or muscle pain. Are you exercising regularly and eating well and avoiding fast food and junk food?  I would try this first and see if the pain persists.  Are you relaxing enough?  Try reflection on the day to figure out what was good, bad, and what could have been done better.  Your pain may then go away. If not have someone check your TMJ  (jaw joint).

Inner ear: Sounds like inner ear disease. Have evaluated by your doctor and an ear, nose and throat specialist. Consider a heart work up. Sort through it and feel better.
