i can hear gurgling sound in my throat that worsens when i eat something. is this normal?

No: This sounds like reflux... Your esophagus is relaxing and allowing the contents of the stomach to come up. At a minimum you should take some reflux meds (zantac (ranitidine) or omperazole) which you can get over the counter and you should see a GI specialist.

do i have acid reflux? after eating i get loud gurgling sounds in my throat which lasts from 1 to 2 hours.

May be : Acid reflux can commonly cause symptoms outside of the stomach or distal esophagus. Examples include persistent, dry cough, aggravation of asthma and laryngoesophageal reflux (ler). Gurgling in the throat is not a common feature of ler and conditions such as zenker's diverticulum should be considered. A gastroenterology consultation if often needed.

heartburn, nausea, vomiting sometimes after meals, worse at night, gurgling sound sometimes in throat after eating.  does this sound like acid reflux?

GERD: These symptoms are classic symptoms of GERD and Hiatal Hernia. You seem at risk for complications -- heartburn, esophagitis, ulcer, transformation of esophageal mucosal tissue into atypical tissue, and aspiration.  Needs remedy.

Unlikely: Not likely. Reflux disease doesn't usually make a gurgling sound. Rather, there may be a problem in the esophagus. Have a doc check you out and see if you need a swallowing study vs teaching about your diet and chewing/swallowing practices.

See a doctor.: Crackling and gurgling sound in chest, if referring to sounds inside the chest, could be caused by a serious lung infection like a pneumonia. These can be quite dangerous if not properly treated. So, it would be good to be seen by a physician for further evaluation and treatment.

my baby at 1 month sounds like shes always gurgling (sound coming from throat?) right after feeding - and sounds like its hard for her to breathe. what can this be related to?

: Probably she ingests too much air in the stomach during the feeding. After each feeding, you should hold her up against your body and tap slightly on her back until she burps several times. You should google "how to breastfeed your baby" for more info. Good luck.

Burping: When you are releasing gas in you stomach, it passes thru the throat and your mouth. It is normal. Try to eat slowly so you are not ingesting too much air while eating. See a GI doctor for your gastritis.

my throat gurgles when i'm nervous. it sounds like i'm belching. it's embarrassing! it's not often i actually belch. how to prevent this?

Nervous belching: Its difficult to know what you mean by "gurgles". If you mean that you are burping or have air escaping during speech when you are nervous, then you may have anti-peristaltic movement of esophagus triggered by adrenalin. Is there a sour taste in your mouth or burning that may suggest acid reflux as well? Talk to your PCP about beta-blockers or anxiolytics. You may need an ENT indirect laryngoscopy

Allergies.: That sounds like allergies.  Nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, headache, facial pains, scratchy throat, postnasal drip and earache can be triggered by fragrances, dust mites (sweeping the floor), grass, trees, pets, environmental molds and such.  There are outdoor and indoor allergens.  OTC nasal steroid and nasal saline are worth a try.
