i had a large fistula on my gum for two weeks, and haven't seen a dentist but it's burst and disappeared now. am i going to die from infection?

No: If it does not hurt it will be OK. Not a bad idea to talk to your family doctor or dentist.

Call Dentist: If you're worried, call Dentist to see if you can be seen sooner.  There is a danger of infection spreading so it should be treated without delay.  Don't panic, but do call for a sooner appointment.

Sometimes: That can work if it is a shallow infection from food or debris being trapped. If it is a tooth infection either a root canal or root surgery may be necessary.

Possibly: There are increasing evidence that periodontal disease can cause or  contribute to many problems and symptoms, including fatigue.

i have had an infection in my gums for 4 now... i lost my taste buds during this time. how can i figure out if im tasting pus, tarter or calculus? tomorrow is my 2nd n last scaling and route planning at 8 30am battling evil evil heavy fatigue?

: If you lost your taste buds than you can't taste anything, even the things you mentioned. If you are on antibiotics or any other medications than your taste buds could be effected. The enhanced treatment your receiving should restore your taste buds and cure the infection and provide good oral health, as long as you follow home care instructions.

Not necessarily: A fistula is indication that the abscess is chronic and long overdue for treatment. The infection will fester without care and without notice may spread. Please see a dentist immediately.

Not related: But i wouldn't be too concerned about causing harm to the infection. If an active, acute infection, why wait two months? That makes no sense. If chronic, it's been there for months and has already been exposed to everything you've done while it was forming. You need a diagnosis to understand why an 'exploratory' surgical procedure is being done instead of an extraction, root canal or biopsy.

i had fistula and i underwent to fistula tract surgical drain only (not fistulotomy)..what happens if there is no drainage or infection for 2 years ?

Sounds healed: If the fistula is not swelling, painful or draining after 2 years then it is probably healed.

how does foreign body cause aortoenteric fistula? fb needs to cause infection first? would this infection persist & not go away? even if fb is blunt?

Depends on the objec: Much depends on the object.  Chronic abrasive forces could induce granulation around the structure  as it erodes through the abdominal wall.  My grandfather swallowed a toothpick which then perforated his small intestine into his splenic artery
