No: Hi. No, by age 21, the growth plates in the long bones are fused, so you will not gain additional height. If you're growth hormone deficient, there are still good reasons to try GH therapy, however. Talk to your endocrinologist.

No taller: At age 44, taking hgh (human growth hormone) will not make you any taller. Once your growth plates, or epiphyseal plates, have fused (closed), you cannot grow any taller.

Myth: If you are a kid with open growth centers in the long bones, you can grow taller.No dietary change, exercise or medication will make you grow taller than your genetic potential.An xray of your wrist and hand will identify growth potential. After puberty, if the growth centers have sealed, you are done growing taller.

Not a good idea: There are significant risks associated with growth hormone.  Use is typically restricted to severely height challenged individuals.  5'6" at age 16 is not abnormally short.  Your growth phase may not yet be over. I would encourage a solid nutrition and exercise program with perhaps vitamin supplementation to ensure continued growth. Much safer alternative than growth hormone.

No and no: Fertility drugs do not contain growth hormone. Growth hormone injections into people in their 30&#x27;s do not cause them to grow taller. Growth hormone increases height growth in people only from birth through puberty, until their growth plates close in late puberty.

Other symptoms: And adult with excess growth hormone will experience enlargement of the jaw and hands and feet but since the growth plates of the large bones are usually sealed,there is minimal height growth.

: We are taught to never say never in medicine because there are occasional oddities that arise. True linear growth (stature) ends when the growth centers close, which in females is ~ 3 years after first menses. Closed growth centers don't re-open to allow more growth.

Yes.: If you truly have low growth as proxy measured by a baseline igf-1, and followed up with a growth hormone stulation with one of several agents and have gh measured at baseline and thereafter, and you secrete little, than depending in insurance and age, you might be able to get it. Drugs will be avaialble to be orally taken (peptides) but they will be completing phase 2 studies. Bone age important.
