stained brown spots on baby teeth? our five year old son seems to have these faint brown spots on some of his teeth. we don't let him drink soda or have much sugar, so i'm not sure what they might be. should we go to the dentist?

Yes, : Yes, i would have him evaluated by a pediatric dentist.  The brown spots can may be staining on the surface of the teeth which can be removed by a dental prophylaxis (cleaning).  We see this quite often.  Frequently, it is caused by the iron present in vitamins with fluoride.

Systemic disease: It sounds like you may have something that may be more than a tooth problem.  I would suggest seeing a physician and possibly a dentist who specializes in oral medicine for an evaluation.

Possible: This can sometimes be stressful for patients and once it is over the relief can result in a drop in blood pressure resulting in fainting. If you lost a lot of blood during the procedure or you had IV sedation this could also lead to fainting episodes.

i have never had a sweet tooth and when i rarely do eat anything relatively sweet (fruit/deserts) i get very weak, faint, and nauseous, why?

A glucose tolerance: test will tell you how your body metabolizes sugar.  It is much more helpful than a simple fasting glucose test which measures one point in time.  Your doc may order this if you mention it.  Peace and good health.

Red spots on gums: These are local irritations. Could be trauma from something hard you chewed. Could be tooth brush trauma. Are you seeing spots anywhere else? Check your tongue.

my husband is having terrible side effects from telmisartan blood pressure tablets. he's feeling faint, exhausted, urinating too often, dry mouth. can he stop taking it? only took it for 2 days. we won't see a doctor for long time, so we need advice?

: Yes, he can stop it without significant rebound effect. Your husband needs to limit salt intake besides losing weight with exercise in the meantime. He does not need to see his doctor, just call and let the doctor know about the discontinuance due to side effects and a new medication can be called in.
