Yes: But don't expect scar removal. It is great for improving skin tone and softening  more superficial scars, especially if repeated in sessions and your microdermabrasions are not done in a salon but in a medical. Spa where they can be performed to a deeper level with a medical grade of equipment

Myth but use if help: Many of my patients swear by the benefits of tea tree or bio-oil and so i generally don't dissuade them but there is very little science to support its use. It is probably the massage, (which we know helps scars)  that is used to apply the oil, which is actually providing the improvements observed. Massage with any clean oil 3-4 times a day. Silicon gel trips are more likely to improve the scar.

Can't do either: Please forgive my frankness. Acne is a serious, chronic disease that you cannot cure until it cures itself as you get older. However, you can manage it. If topical benzoyl peroxide as tolerated has not cleared you in 2 weeks get with your physician. This is 2014 and beyond using sunscreen, you should not try to change your natural skin color. You'll disfigure yourself. Embrace who you are.

Acne: Sounds like you still have some acne. The white stuff that comes out is sebum or oil mixed with dead skin and immune cells. You may need some exfoliation to aid your skin in sloughing off the top layer so that your pores do not get clogged. A dermatologist can put you on a good regimen that may include some sessions with a aesthetician who can help clear your skin.

See a doctor.: Most plastic surgeons and/or dermatologists can help you. Your care must be individualized , prescription topical medications can usually improve your skin appearance.

Sure: I use Tazorac (tazarotene) for acne as you describe with Hydroquinone 4% to lighten up hyperpigmented areas and even out skin tone. These two medicines are easily prescribed in a Prime Visit!

Can do all: Acne can leave dark spots. If there is no true scarring then the skin will return to normal. You need to be on acne treatment that will prevent flares. See your dermatologist.

Acne vulgaris: Your age and the problems you describe sound like typical acne that afflicts many people your age.  I'm not sure what's available in you local pharmacy, but daily use of benzoyl peroxide 5%-10% cream or lotion along with daily face washing with a mild soap would be a good start.  You won't get results overnight but you should notice improvement in a few weeks.

Post acne pigment: It takes time for redness & hyperpigmentation after acne eruptions to fade. However i found that Azelaic Acid cream/gesl help improve that somewhat faster. Sometimes Azelaic Acid topicals like finacea can sting a little at the beginning of therapy. Stinging lasts for a few minutes then goes away. If stinging does not resolve in a few minutes or after a few days, you may not be able to tolerate it.
