? could be infection: Drainage implies infection of your scalp/skin. If it is yellowish discharge then it certainly is infection which will require antibiotics by mouth. Go see your doctor . Itching can be relieved with Benadryl (diphenhydramine) capsules(may make you sleepy). If it is more than a small area(less than one inch) which is draining, you need to see a doctor to help you treat it better.

If the tube is blocked, it will not drain. Finally, urine will take the path of least resistance. If the native ureter can drain the kidney, or if urine is leaking from the kidney (urinoma), the tube will not drain well.
