Losing weight: To lose weight, get ur resting metabolism rate done(weight loss centers do this). This determines the total number of calories you need to lose 1-2lbs/week. Decreasing 500cal/day will give you a 1lb wt loss in 1wk; drink water (1/2 your body weight), eat small meals about 150-200cal 2-4x/(depending on your metabolism rate) and 500cal/meal at night: lean protein/veggies; avoid carbs, .

Too much fruit/bread: Though vegetarians tend to have better weights and are not as likely to be overweight, too much of anything is bad, including fruit and bread. Now that the type of food you are eating is good, i would look also at the quantity of food you are eating. This is often done with a food long / calorie count. If it doesn't seem like you should be gaining, see a pcp for eval. Maybe thyroid, cortisol is th.

You can as long as: calories burned exceed calories consumed. Drink at least 8  - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night.  Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables &amp; 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol &amp; junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic &amp; weight lifting exercises.
