The pain in the chest you get is because of the contraction of the chest , fibromyalgia , is often associated with rheumatoid arthritis , and fibromyalgia is a magnification of pain due to a variety of reasons . Your doctor probably should look into this diagnosis to see if there is an explanation for it. Soft tissue involvement in rheumatoid arthritis is related to actual inflammation of the soft tissue and very rarely it involves the chest walls . Other causes of that chest pain should be evaluated.

Because this is a natural substance and not a pharmaceutical medication, I am unsure about the exact amount/dosage that you should be taking because there are no good clinical trials to guide us. But I would recommend moderation. In other words, a few glasses a day is fine but I don't feel that drinking a few gallons a day is a good idea. Hope this helps!

Ginger: Ginger may effect blood clotting -so consult  your dr about use if you take anti-inflammatory meds (i.e. naproxen, ibuprofen) or blood thinners (aspirin, warfarin). Diabetics on meds should also d/w dr because it may v blood sugar &amp; ^ actions of insulin &amp; other medications.
Please consult with your physician if you have ulcers -as high dose ginger is usually not recommended in this situation.
