Accepted Answer

Needs evaluation: Such vision changes can be due to vitamin A deficiency, diabetes, cataract, retinitis, side effect of lasik surgery.  You should seen an ophthalmologist for a thorough evaluation.

scheduled for lpi both eyes for narrow angles,my ophtamologist only do 11-1 o'clock position, afraid for white lines ghost image, my lid barely cover end of iris, is corneal tattoo possible with fuchs dystrophy and also have cataracts beginning?

Accepted Answer

: It is very rare to get visual side effects from LPI's even when done at the 9:00 and 3:00 locations, as many are doing now. Usually the iridotomy will retract under the limbus after treatment and may be barely visible even with careful examination. The 11:00 - 1:00 should minimize the risk of problems. Very unlikely to have any corneal uptake from the laser, especially if the Yag laser is used.

i see multiple ghost images, especially at night, my vision improves completely looking through pinhole. does that rule out neuro causes?

Accepted Answer

Pinhole: Vision improving with the pinhole generally means that your eyes require a prescription to see better. Your pupil is dilated at night and allows in more scattered light, creating more distortion. Take care.

yag  iridotomy at 12 o'clock position.  have ghost images in lower field of vision.  looks kind of like a line/crescent of light will these resolve?

Most often yes: Sometimes no, if it does not, please look into a corneal tattoo (rarely needed but works very well to block the extra light coming through or colored contact lens.

can having a head tilt or cranial palsy cause you to see ghost images around lights and objects. that are worse at night, not true double vision?

Accepted Answer

Maybe: Cranial nerve palsies will give you double vision in both daylight and ghost images at night.  Usually abnormalities of the cornea (astigmatism) leads to see ghost images as well as cataracts.  Best to check with your ophthalmologist.

how fast do prisms work? my doc can't figure out why i see ghost images in each eye (separately) worn it for 10 min and hasn't change anything?

Right away: why do you need prism at your age?  What is the cause of it?  Did you see an ophthalmologist?  If not pls consult an ophthalmologist.  If you see ghost images out of each eye separately this is not muscle related.  They may need to check your refraction and topography of your eye.  I could not give you more info without more detail.  The prism is more for double vision with both eyes together.

monocular diplopia, halos, and glare. ghosting images, blurry far away. 3 eye doctors said eyes healthy, mri said brain healthy. what could it be?

Monocular Diplopia: Monocular Diplopia is almost always due to something in that eye: cataract (PSC), irregular astigmatism (send us copy of your Pentacam), irregular nerve (send us copy of your nerve photos and HRT and HVF), and/or tear film abnormality (send us copy of your Lipiscan). Consult with us to help solve this issue.

is it ok to date older women? that cougar image scares me.

It all depends: How old is the woman and how young is the man. In any relationship the key issue is making sure that both parties are able to enter the relationship with an understanding of what is involved and the ability to say no. So if there is a big difference in age or power it can be a problem. On the other hand, assuming both folks are mature adults, the answer is no.

Yes: We differ in our abilities to differentiate precise colors and nuances.  Also, a person with cataracts will have distortion of color.

Accepted Answer

Self view: Body image is what you think others see.  In the us, many of us have poor body images--too fat or skinny, too tall or short, this or that body part too small or large.  A fun test of this is to get a big scroll of paper and try to draw an outline your body, then back up to it have & have someone trace your actual outline.  Men routinely draw shoulders wider than they are, women, bigger waists.
