There are publised bmi values for age and gender that tell you if your weight is too low for your height, just right, high (that's obestiy) or dangerously high (that's morbid obesity). Tests like blood suger, thyroid function & lipid levels help assess the risks associated with obesity.

Obesity-related ones: Obese children can be tested for obesity-related medical problems such as: type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid hormone imbalances, sex hormone or cortisol imbalances, fat in the liver, gall bladder (bile) dysfunction, exercise intolerance, exercise asthma, heart disease, etc...

Depends on ur stomac: The gastric emptying scan / study: by eating a meal cooked w/ a tracer &amp; following it; if it takes more than ~2 hrs, u have gastroparesis (more common in obese diabetics &amp; requires meds to increase stomach motion). Make sure u follow instructions on (not) eating b4 the test so ur stomach is empty. The tracer is imaged &amp; timed - it moves as fast as ur body allows. Obesity makes the images fuzzier.

i have an rx for test-e im inj., but am not sure which needles to use? i'm not obese and have very little fat on my buttocks. 1" or 1.5"? what gauge?

1" is fine: Hi. 1" is fine. Testosterone enanthate is pretty viscous stuff, so we usually have people draw it into the syringe with an 18 g needle, then change needles to a 20 g for injecting into them. So a 1" 20g needle should suit you. Have you thought about transdermal testosterone? You might want to talk with your doc about that. Good luck!

It might: Obesity is a disease in itself and can effect many organs in the body. As I have said in many answers sugar in all its forms is the main culprit, even diet drinks because they produce what is known as oxidative stress.Particularly in the lower brain that computes are ability to adapt to changes in the environment. Poor nutrition is the clue.

Not really: Unless you hang out with users and you "passively" are smoking. They measure delta-9 THC and its metabolite's and that can be detected for about 30 days, not for two years.

my girlfriend period is 1week late, never late, last p was 1/29 hasthryroid problem is obese. we had unprotected sex on2/10now late but tests negative?

Get checked: She should see her obgyn.   If she truly had a period on 1/29 and is "never late" your unprotected sex may well have come at or around ovulation (egg release), thereby making pregnancy very possible.  She should get a serum pregnancy test and a thyroid check.  If she's pregnant, she wants to make sure her thyroid hormone levels are adequate to ensure the baby's healthy development.

Slight high LFTs.: Sometimes obesity can result in a fatty liver, which can be asymptomatic, or have mild liver function test (lft) abnormalities.  If alcohol use is involved, there can be progression to cirrhosis, with anemia, prolonged pt, and elevations in alt (aspartate aminotransferase), and ast (alanine aminotransferase), and bilirubin (>10mg/dl).
