is it safe to get your baby/toddler's hair wet in the bath if they are sick? it is not cold outside.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Wet hair will not make a kid get sicker. It would be reasonable to towel them off and get it as dry as you can with a towel, but by all means, keeping the baby clean and in its normal routine helps them get well faster.

each time i get exposed to heat or sunlight, my skin itches with some flashes but rapidly disappear after a bath with cold water. i once visited a doctor and he prescribed chlorpheniramine , epimax cream and promethazine injection, & are not working?

: Irrespective of your skin color, wearing a sunscreen of at least 40 SPF is essential to reduce itching and redness.
A low strength cortisone ointment , not cream , is best for the itch if it continues to be a problem

Can't be exact about: The cause of headaches because there are several major types, e.g., vascular, sinus, muscular, tension, etc.

Dizzy when bathing: Avoid really hot baths which may cause the skin blood vessels to dilate and cause less blood to go to the brain. Prolonged hot bath may also lead to more sweating and therefore dehydration.

when  i pull my foreskin  back in the bath when its softed  it ok till i get hard  and my head  got purple  and feels  like it burning  any anwsers?

Maybe phimosis?: You may have a condition called phimosis--the foreskin is too tight forming a ring around the head (glans penis) during an erection. Because it isa too tight, blood does not circulate normally and thus can cause symptoms you mentioned. This is treatable. I recommend seeing doc for eval.

my 8mo baby takes a bath sitting, and when i rinse, i pour  water from her head. is it fine? wont the water get inside her ears?

Watch the eyes: Her ears may get water in them, but that's ok, it will dry out.  Do put your hand on her forehead to avoid soapy water in the eyes - that will hurt and make her not want to bathe.  For the ears,  usually bath water is no problem.

Vertigo: You describe symptoms of vertigo.  This can be from decreased blood flow to the balance center of the brain or to a disorder in the ears.  If it is temporary and very directly related to the wet head, it may be a vagal reaction that causes decrease in output of the heart that is temporary and benign.  Be sure he lies down, dries off, before getting up and running around.  He needs a good checkup.

Could be a couple th: A few things could cause this a mineral or electrolyte imbalance or could simply be from being in the hot wet water for too long keep your appointment with the physician to evaluate .also if you're on a diuretic or sometimes other medications could cause this symptom

Rhinitis: Since there is no other detail (age etc) given, it is difficult to provide you an answer.  If eating yogurt causes you to sneeze , avoidance is the only answer.  Consider consulting an allergist if you are bothered enough.
