Try this: A rinse of warm water with 1teaspoon of baking soda. Rinse for 30 seconds spit out, repeat.   A change in the acidity of ones saliva may create a metallic taste in the mouth. If this is the cause of your metallic taste, then possibly neutralizing the acidity with baking soda may help.

Brush: A metallic taste in your mouth is a condition called dysgeusia. It is not life threatening, but can be inconvenient. Dysgeusia can be caused by upper respiratory tract infections, hormonal changes, some medications (such as Capoten or flagyl), tobacco smoke or nasal polyps. Proper mouth cleaning and an increase in zinc intake can cure dysgeusia.

: Not normal. The most common cause of metallic taste in mouth I have seen in over 50 years  is low blood/body K due to Primary Aldosteronism.  But usually also have highish to very high BP.  Also  low K  will cause fatigue and exhaustion. Review with your team. And be certain they follow guidelines to get accurate blood K when the draw blood.

Wait and gargle: There's a chance the clotted blood in your mouth makes your taste so. The suture material may be another culprit. It will probably get better as those things resolve gradually. You can try salt water gargles unless you've been doing those already. Magic mouth wash - liquid Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 5 cc + maalox 5 cc + viscous Lidocaine 5cc (usually for pain) + 1 table spoon of water, mixed up, swish and spit.
