Depends on guideline: Fasting blood sugar is usually under 100 and the one hour test should usually be less than 165 depending upon whose guidelines your physician uses.

95-105 when u wakeup: Normal bloodsugar after fasting overnight is 95-105.  One hour after a meal should be less than 140. Two hours after a meal your bloodsugar should be less than 120.

Pattern not number: Baby begins to make their own Insulin during mid pregnancy & any moment that moms levels are high will push glucose across the placenta, forcing baby to store the excess as fat.Any maternal levels above normal can lead to enlarged organs, defects, large baby & the need for IV fluid treatment after birth . The better mom's control, the less problems for baby, the worse control, the bigger the pbs.

See below: Abnormal values with pregnancy GTT are:
fasting	95 mg/dl or higher
1 hour	180 mg/dl or higher
2 hours	155 mg/dl or higher
3 hours	140 mg/dl or higher
 the higher you are, the more risk to develop fetal abnormalities. Check w/your doctor!

if sugar and weight has been normal range all my life, would i still be at risk to develop gestational diabetes? and if i am w/twins does it increase that risk for sure? weight prepreg has always been under 125 pds, at 5'4

Testing: Gestational diabetes can occur in any pregnant women and is not limited to those with risk factors. This is why universal testing is recommended between 24-28 weeks gestation.

Over 150: If you have been diagnosed with gdm, you can safely take glucophage (metformin) but if not controlled you would need insulin.  If your readings were consistently above 150 you would need insulin.

Two hours after a meal, blood glucose levels should be 120 mg/dl or less.

Post prandial: you're doing post prandial blood sugars and that means post meal.  So once you're finished eating.
