Not GERD related: Lymph nodes that are not swollen can not be felt so I am not sure what you are describing. Generally lymph nodes in the neck swell and become tender due to infections like sore throats and colds. GERD (acid reflux) is not associated with infections though, strangely, peptic (stomach) ulcers may occur due to a bacterial infection in the stomach lining (H Pylori) but are not assoc with swollen nodes

everytime i get white tongue cause either by gerd or thrush i notice i get swollen lymph nodes on the side of chest that is sore ,is that gerd related?

No: Thrush and GERDS represent an inflammatory process that rarely  causes the inflammation to involve region nodes.  If this were true for the tongue leukoplakia one would see submaxillary nodal involvement which rarely if ever happens  and GERDS involving the esophagus if presenting with nodal involvement would cause  mediatstinal and not chest wall problems. Have LMD check the so called nodes.

i just started getting bumps beneath my jaw that looks like swollen lymph nodes, i thought it could be food stuck in throat, but they said most likely not without doing a x-ray and it's a gerd symptom, but what else could it possibly be?

gi doctor says i have esophagitis upper esophagus. gerd related. was on prilosec for 1 month. now on nexium for 3 months. doesn't explain swollen back of neck. gi agrees non-related. posterior cervical region. lymph nodes? any suggestions?

: You may need either a CT scan or MRI of your neck to determine why you have swelling there. It could be lymph node related but this should be apparent when a doctor examines the area. So, an imaging study would likely reveal the etiology of the swelling so the proper treatment can be pursued. Good luck to you!

Pharyngitis: This may be Strep throat, viral infection, conceivably due to your GERD, or of other causes. If acute you should be tested for Strep and treated if positive or if the physical findings are highly suspicious.  Cannot possibly diagnose this over the internet.

i am having laser tattoo removal on the back of my neck. i had my first session two weeks ago , its healing very well however i noticed a round hard painful lump at the base of my skull back of neck. swollen lymph node??

: You are likely correct. Any disturbance of the skin surface as would be in tattoo removal may trigger enlargement of local nodes that can persist for a few weeks.

What is "Normal": Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad  like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts.  They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react.  They come in all sizes from pea to lima bean.  The are not usually easily felt.

Depends on cause: Lymph nodes help to fight off a variety of illnesses, including infections, non-infectious inflammations, cancer, etc.  The severity depends on what caused them to enlarge.
