Doubt it: GERD treatment is always a work in process. Avoiding foods &amp; behaviors that aggravate the process are a necessary addition to any meds. Not consuming caffeine within 6 hrs of laying down, avoiding laying down for 1-2 hrs after meals, reducing meal volumes &amp; acidic drinks are all add ons to help reduce symptoms. GERD is potentially life long but you learn reduce its activity over time.

See below: You do not want any nonsteriodals or sulfasalazine.  Your best bet to treat your ank spon and not worsen your gerd would be tnf inhibitors.

does propranolol at a low dose interact with apple cider vinegar? i take 1 table spoon with 8oz of water before a evening meal for gerd .what  other drugs interact with  apple cider vinegar?

I don't see why: it would.  I also don't think that (m)any drugs interact with apple cider vinegar.  It's no different than a bowl of for example hot and sour soup....
Very good that you know to take ACV for GERD and not proton pump inhibitors, which are very dangerous long term.

Depends: The best drug for you depends on many factors, including what other medical conditions you have and medications you take. An antihistamine acid blocker or a proton pump inhibitor are most commonly prescribed to treat GERD. (examples are ranitidine or omeprazole)

i have been diagnosed having gerd and i suffer with anxiety since having gerd is there a cure for gerd and anxiety? i don't like taking drugs i prefer

Depends on cause: If it is due to hiatal hernia, that may require surgical correction. If you are overweight, it would help to lose weight (easier said than done).
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

is it possible for some drugs to just not work on some people? such as oral dicofenac sodium. perhaps a condition that causes it to be poorly absorbed. would being on omeprazole for gerd be a factor in that?

: Yes, one medication may work well for one but not for other.
I have not heard any interaction between Diclofenac and Omeprazole. In fact, some people take Omeprazole because they have gastritis or peptic ulcer due to Diclofenac but they could not get off this med with their joint problem.

Can be med effect: Many of the epilepsy medications can cause stomach irritation and sluggish bowels.  Slow release forms can help, and attention to diet could help.  Take medications with small amount food.  Try not to take med with antiacids since this may interfere with absorption.  Also be careful about citrus drinks especially grapefruit that can irritate stomach and alter absorption.

Equivalent, but: These are all pretty equivalent. They are different drug formulations that work on the same general mechanism within the stomach to decrease acid secretion. It is important to note that long term use of these medications can be associated with osteoporosis. It is important to maintain recommended calcium/vitamin D intake and see Dr. for assessment of osteoporosis risk.

Yes many drugs can…: Relax the esophageal sphincter & allow acidic stomach fluids to reflux. Ccb's, beta-agonists, alpha-adrenergic antagonists, nitrates, anticholinergics, theophylline, morphine, meperidine, diazepam, & barbiturates. Some meds may irritate esophagus directly, especially if not taken with enuf water: nsaids, tetracyclines, beta blockers. Take all meds with full glass of water; don't lie down for 15-30.

i just took 2 ibuprofen and i took 150mg ranitidine 1 hr ago. i take ranitidine twice a day for gerd. i took the ibuprofen for a headache. are there any interactions between these drugs?

: Not interaction between the medication but ibuprofen can irritate GERD so would be better to use acetominophen for your headache.
