Aerophagia: Fancy word for swallowing air.You may be eating too fast.Exhale before swallowing the food in your mouth.Also consider what food you are ingesting-soda is full of gas and foods like cabbage produce gas in the gut.If you are careful at how you swallow and do not eat known gas producers like beans it should be less of a problem.

Gas: hello ~ If it is gas its probably coming from the stomach and a dilated stomach can impinge the diaphragm and give you a pain like a "stitch". The important thing is to let a doc place a hand on your stomach to make sure every thing is fine and there are no abdominal masses or any other noteworthy symptoms thanks

Gluten sensitivity), fermentation by gut bacteria (as with bacterial overgrowth syndrome or changed flora after antibiotics), altered GI tract motility, excessive air swallowing, as well as inflammatory and infectious causes.  Easy to test for these.

If you can't pinpoint offending foods or continue to have frequent abdominal discomfort, see your physician or a gastroenterologist for evaluation.
