Ganglion. On the : Palm can be large or small , painful or just mechanically irritating. Don't confuse a ganglion with a dupiytrms nodule.

Cyst: Until it bothers you i would let is be. Sometimes these cysts will go away on their own. Without symptoms i would record against intervention.

Nocturnal tingling: of the hands usually is due to carpal tunnel syndrome. It's not uncommon to see carpal tunnel in individuals who also have ganglion cycts. Have your neurologist do an EMG / NCS to clarify matters

Surgeon: Time to visit your local neighborhood orthopedic hand specialist. The cyst goes down to the bone, so to keep it from coming back needs surgery. Of course if it isn't painful, it's not necessary, but if it is, surgery is the best option.

Could be normal: You may have persistent swelling, but this should start to improve.  Howvever, if your entire hand is numb, you need to discuss with your surgeon.

Drain them: Go to your doctor and have them examined.   It is almost painless to have them drained and many times they do not come back.

Get accurate: diagnosis first.  If it is a ganglion for sure, nothing needs to be done unless it causes symptoms.  Sometimes, a simple aspiration and steroid injection would do it.  Go an see an orthopedic surgeon.

Variable: After popping will shrink but may recur months to yrs later.  Even some surgically excised may return after months
