It means nothing: If you have no pain or no symptoms , if you have means that gall bladder is not contracting to the expected level , may have infection in it , you may be forming gravel or stones , eventually may need removal.

Usually gb disease: Decreased ejection fraction is  less than 35%. May mean chronic gall bladder disease or biliary dyskinesia. If symptoms of biliary colic (gall bladder disease) may receive relief with gall bladder removal. Work up of gall bladder disease usually includes ultrasound study looking for gall stones.

>35 %: A normal gallbladder ejection fraction is usually over 35%. Anything less than this would be considered dysfunction of the gallbladder or biliary dyskinesia.

Depends: On what you ate asking. Surgery can be done anytime. It depends on if the surgery will be of any help to you. Removing a normally functioning gallbladder can cause a lot of digestion problems. If a gallbladder functions less than 30-35% with associated gb pains, then there may be a benefit of gallbladder surgery. But not all patients improve with surgery either.

Not necessarily: You do not have to get your gallbladder removed.  People with decreased gallbladder ejection fraction (<50%) often have symptoms related to this problem such as pain on the right side after eating, inability to tolerate fatty foods and bloating.  > than  80% of people will get better after having thier gallbladder removed. Rarely people have trouble digesting fats after surgery (cramps/ diarrhea).

Usually  normal: Hyperkinetic or hyperactive gallbladder is not generally accepted as a diagnosis. A  small group of patients (63) was symptomatic with cck infusion with greater than 80% ejection fraction. 28 of these patients underwent removal of gall bladder. 97% of these 28 patients showed improvement in symptoms following surgery. . More published retrospective and prospective studies needed.

68.7% EF is normal: An ejection fraction of 68.7% is normal, and as such perhaps an alternative culprit should be considered for your symptoms.

Yes for symptoms: If you find symptoms more frequent and smaller triggers, yes indeed an elective procedure always better than emergency one.

Increased risk: Low gallbladder ejection fraction is found in chronic cholecystitis, which can cause chronic right upper quadrant pain and nausea.  The poor gallbladder emptying leads to stasis of bile and other components that make up gallstones, leading to an increased likelihood of stone formation.
