i always have edema of the whole body, although my total body water is 56% (+ -  3%). what's the reason of edema? what tests could you recommend me?

?, Check Albumen: Accurately measuring body water is a bit difficult; ? The value; it would correspond to significant body fat. Blood pressure, ~25 mmhg capillary inlet, 15 outlet, constantly pushes blood plasma water out of capillaries into tissues, body wide. Check albumen, half-life ~12-14 hrs, constantly made by liver, osmotically attracts water from tissue back into capillaries. If low, edema more common.

Local effect: Generalized edema is called anasarca and due to renal or cardiac etiology.

Not normally: You definitely need to see a physician as soon as possible. H. Pylori by itself does not normally cause you to have full body swelling. There's something else going on that needs to be investigated, and examined by your physician. Don't delay.

: Not feasible to provide an accurate answer as details regarding the injury are crucial.  But typically, if this involves trauma to the lumbosacral spine itself, there would be no expectation of peripheral edema secondarily unless spinal cord damage occurred causing paralysis and dependent edema as a complication.

Needs treatment: Total body edema is caused by excess salt retention by the kidneys and can be seen in certain disorders of the kidney, heart, or liver. All 3 need evaluation and you should limit salt intake severely. Your doctor will very likely need to prescribe one or more diuretics.

is oral minoxidil at 1.5mg daily, safe for male hair loss? does it cause edema, water build up in body and cardiac lesions on heart? worried for husband who was prescribed this by his doctor but safety data online says otherwise?

: Oral Minoxidil is used to reduce High Blood Pressure. Because of its high risk for side effects, it is typically given with two other meds in order to limit the negative effects. Oral Minoxidil should not be used for hair loss treatment. For hair loss, topical use is preferred.

what causes super fast tapping sound in both ears and one ear feels full. i only hear the tapping when my ear is on pillow but it happens on both ears now. and have lower leg edema as soon as wake up after foot elevation night what the heck going on?

: If I put those symptoms together, a systemic disease is strongly suspected so I would recommend a physical check-up as soon as possible. In the mean time, you need to restrict salt and fluid intake. Definitely no added salt on your foods and limit fluid intake (all sources) to less than 1,200 cc (1.2 liters or 42 oz)/day. Several causes: Edema is fluid in one's tissues (usually the skin) that is outside of one's blood vessels, lymph vessels, and cells. The fluid is "in between" cells and leaked out of the person's blood vessels or lymph vessels. Poor circulation, obstructed veins, standing or sitting too long, thyroid disease, kidney disease, low protein levels, etc., can cause edema (most often noticeable in the legs).
