every 10 days to 2 weeks my husbands ear will feel clogged and he cant hear well. he flushes it with warm water using a ear bulb. what comes out seems like a fibrous material, not wax. md checked but saw nothing, not impacted, no foreign object. ?

Clogged ear: Probable Eustachian tube dysfunction. See ENT. Get audiogram and tympanograms. Have him Valsalva frequently when symptomatic.

Foreign  body in eye: The best way to to flush a foreign body from your eye is to completely  fill a cup with water &amp; blink your eye in it several times on top of the sink until you see it in the cup, the shower  head might be too strong for your eye. If this fails please see your  doctor  or an ophthalmologist.  Good luck

Foreign body: With the story you tell it is very conceivable that she has a foreign body in her nose. The swollen red lump can represent a response to a foreign body or it may be a nasal polyp she should have an ENT physician take a peek up her nose to verify the problem.

Ear pain: You need to have an otoscopic examination. There are no "tests" as such other than direct examination. This will only take a minute.

Ear pain, redness: While ear infections can have many signs and symptoms, a few suggest the need to be examined by a health professional. Ear infections can be on the outside including the ear and canal, and some in the middle ear. Drainage of pus or blood is a clear sign of a problem. Pain, swelling and redness are also concerning. If you feel sick, or have a fever it suggests a possible systemic infection.

Yes, but...: We need to clarify:  is the external ear red?  Or are you referring to when a physician looks at the middle ear with an otoscope?  Redness is usually a sign of inflammation but can be present for many reasons.  A red external ear can be inflammed from sunburn, vasodilation due to exertion (when your child runs around or cries).  A red eardrum can be infection, viral or bacterial.

Yes: The blocked Eustachian tube can remain block up to 6 weeks post URI or ongoing if you have allergies. If there is popping when you yawn it is a sign that there is some clearing and may take a little longer to resolve. If you are blowing the nose hard it may actually make things worse. The treatment here is time.Also the ringing should resolve when the tubes open up.

Crawling sensation: Crawling sensation on an area of the skin without any rashes usually means there is some inflammation of a nerve that provides sensation to that patch of skin.  For example, after shingles, the skin nerve may stay inflamed for a while and can give itch, pain, numbness or "crawling."  TMJ usually causes pain but could cause numbness. Please have this looked at by your doctor.
