Possible Carpal Tun: There are other possibilities, but the most likely cause for your symptoms is carpal tunnel syndrome. This is the result of compression of the median nerves at the wrists and it is common for people to wake up to "shake out the numbness."  i would recommend that you see a neurologist, but while you are waiting you can ice the wrists, try otc ibuprofen, and buy carpal tunnel splints for nighttime.

Pinched nerve: This sounds a lot like a pinched nerve in the neck. The left foot tingling is unusual for a pinched nerve in the neck so it would suggest a different diagnosis or 2 separate unrelated diagnoses.

Rheumatologist: I suspect that you have a painful polyneuropathy or polyneuritis which may be on the basis of an autoimmune disorder in view of the presence of multiple mouth ulcers. I recommend an evaluation by a rheumatologist. A neurologist and oral surgeon may also be consulted for diagnosis and treatment.

Superficial phlebiti: The IV catheter or fluids/medication placed into the vein may have caused irritation to the vein causing an inflammatory response with a cord like feel to the vein with redness, heat, pain being present.  Vein may have a blood clot present, and will often move up the vein, hence the pain in the forearm to elbow.  Often heat, time will heal this.

Nerve irritation: Postoperative parasthesias( numbness, tingling, etc.) are not uncommon after your type of surgery. Nerves that provide sensation/ pain temperature and help to move muscles in your forearm and hand are fairly close by. Once the swelling from the surgery subsides these symptoms should diminish... If they don't consult w/ your orthopedic surgeon. Good Luck!

Refer to answer: This is usually due to disc herniation form your neck. You can try over the door cervical traction with 10 lbs of water for 10 minutes once or twice a day. Also avoid over 10 lbs push pull, and lift. Avoid looking up. Also take magnesium of 250 mg per day. If problem persists beyond two weeks, refer to your  physician for work up, xray and mri.
