Taste disturbances: Sinus infections make food taste bad for several reasons:
1.  Swelling in the sinuses can disturb the sense of smell which is important in our 'taste' of food.
2.  Purulent (infected fluid) discharge drains down the back of the throat and into the mouth and pus never tastes nice
3.  The fluid also drains down into the stomach and makes one nauseated.
All in all, not an epicurean delight.

No: Although acid reflux has been reported to be associated with sinusitis, I am unaware of any double-blind study to support this link. Even if it does, I 'd doubt that it reaches the frontal sinus area. If this is a frequent problem in the absence of overeating or very tight garment, you may need treatment.
