Globus: This is a foreign body sensation. The meat scratched your throat and created this problem. It may take a week to really feel better. You may need to start with liquids, progress to soft foods for a few days. If it persists, see an ENT for a fiberoptic laryngoscopy to fully assess things.

Not covid: Those are not symptoms of COVID. GERD is a possible cause but there are other causes that need to be investigated involving an anatomic abnormality of your esophagus (for example, a diverticulum or ulcer) or a motility disorder - there are many variants.

: There may be an irritation of the lining of the throat or esophagus.  Try yogurt and soothing neutral fluids to control the discomfort. Discuss the use of a PPI medication prior to meals with your physician.Watch for signs of shortness of breath, vomiting and rash. List ingredients from the salad for discussion with your physician.
