ears seem to rumble when i first wake up. also seem to crackle and pop when yawning or swallowing. what could this be and should i be concerned? been happening for a while. 
hearing is fine?

Eustachian tube: There may be partial blockage of the eustachian tube or tubes. If this phenomenon persists you should see an ENT doctor. Not an urgent matter, unless it affects your hearing.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.

Get examined for: Ruptured ear drum, middle ear infection, eustachian tube and TMJ dysfunction, etc. Take care!

Popping: It is either a clogged eustachian tube which runs from to ear to the nose or a swollen TMJ from bruxing so start with your ENT then the dentist if the ENT find s nothing wrong.

is vertigo related to an ear issue? i hear clicking in my ear when i swallow

Yes &amp; No: Vertigo is commonly caused by a problem with the way balance works in the inner ear, although there are other causes that the ENT Doctor will need to check for in his Differential Diagnosis to determine your specific cause.  The clicking you hear may be caused by the Jaw joint in front of the ear (TMJ). So these can be separate unrelated items that your ENT Doctor needs to look at.

Noises: These noises are not necessarily pathological but most likely are caused by movements of ear canal and middle ear structures as well as throat muscles. You don't have any significant symptoms. If you have further concerns, have an examination by an Otolaryngologist for reassurance.

Probably normal: Most of us hear a funny squishy sound when we swallow.  When our mouths are closed, it may feel like it is louder.  However, if the noise never happened before, it is noticeably more difficult to swallow,  or you feel like your saliva has changed recently, see your physician or an ENT to make sure everything is working as it should.
