Not typically though: There are viral syndromes that can be associated with flu like illness or prodrome (occurs before) that can result in nerve and muscle issue however these are severe issues such as guillian- barre , if you had that you'd likely have symptoms that exceed some tingling or numbness, illnesses such as flu can highlight other issues such as a metabolic or endocrine or any systemic process. have blisters or white cysts on tonsils,severe nausea, vomiting for past 4months of pregnancy unsure if its cause it only appears on the left hand side tonsils, no flu symptoms able to eat and drink,throat feels swollen ,doesnt appear swollen tho?

GERS: Good day, Tonsillitis is usually very painful and you will have high fever. This can be due to acid reflux. I suggest you drink Clopamon for the nausea and Omeprazole for the reflux. You can also try Tissue salts for the nausea that you suck daily Nr 5 Kali Mur.

a doctor told me yesterday i do have a virus and not the flu. but have flu symptoms. today, i woke up with my skin (abdominal) feeling numb & that area feeling swollen. i can go back but i'm not sure if this is from the virus i have/getting over. ?

Follow UP: Maybe a different doctor would be able to check you out. Sometimes reassurance or in the past 24 hours things may have changed. Follow up with your doctor by phone .If still not feeling better go to Urgent Care or ER. The numbness usually does not go with flu symptoms. Alot more information needed to advise.

i've had a morning cough for a month. never any flu symptoms. now my left arm goes numb when i lie down. cancer? had clear chest x-ray 6 months ago

Cancer?: Doubtful especially with a normal chest radiograph in the last 6 months. The cough and the left arm are probably 2 separate conditions. I would start with your PCP or see an ENT/pulmonologist for the cough. See an orthopaedic doc for the left arm.

Can be a cause  but!: There can also be other causes. It is best to discuss with your  physician.

This is a great drug and it can control your  MS but you need  guidance to take it safely. It is an immunosupressent  and infection can be a risk.

We used the same drug in studies  for Rheumatoid Arthritis and it did great but we  do not have  it availble for RA unfortunately

See below: Pain in the shoulder with numbness and tingling  in the hands may be due to a pinched nerve in the neck. This is usually caused by a protruding disc or bone spur touching one of your spinal nerves as it leaves your neck.  This can often improve on it's own with rest and anti-inflammatories, but if your pain lasts greater than one week or gets worse see your physician.

Not normally: Depressive sx's may include low mood, irritability, anger, ^ or v sleep, change in appetite, feelings of helplessness or hopelessness, v energy, v self-esteem, feelings of guilt. V motivation,  absence of joy, v concentration, v memory ; suicidal thoughts.

Hand and armpit: It is important to determine what the causes are.
Emg testing by the neurologist will help determine the cause as well as imaging studies of the cervical spine and axilla.
Based on this, treatment can be tailored.
