i used to have terrible hygiene habits with my mouth. recently ive been regularly brushing & flossing. but now im starting to feel pain in my mouth at times. pain after flossing; ate crackers & it hurt my teeth when i drunk water afterwards. why?

Dental Exam: You'll need to see a local dentist for an exam with radiographs. Terrible oral hygiene will lead to cavities and gum disease. Just because you have better hygiene now does not mean the damage isn't already done. The sooner you are treated the better off you will be.

Flossing: If you do not floss properly, it is possible to injure the gum tissue. This will cause pain because the floss can cut the fibers that attach the gum tissue to the tooth.
Check with your dentist or dental hygienist to learn the proper way to floss without damaging the gum tissue.
Also have a thorough examination, as the pain may be due to the presence of periodontal disease.

small gap btw my teeth where food gets stuck. always floss to clear it out. problem is, that area hurts bad after i floss. chewing also creates pain in that area so i end up chewing with the left side?

See  Dentist  : Need to get it checked by dentist and get gap fixed..Or get it evaluated that  there is no cavity..If the food keeps on getting stuck gums will get inflammed and can cause further perio pockets so treat it before it gets worse...

Haven't been regular: It may be that you are using the wrong floss (too thin or sharp), flossing incorrectly (r u flossing down each side of the tooth, and not in the middle).  But most common cause flossing leading to discomfort, pain and bleeding is doing it sporadically. Doofus it once every 1-2 days, ask dental hygienist about what floss to use and correct method of flossing....Voila, all your flossing are gone.

Proper Technique: If you are snapping the floss downward between your teeth, you may be irritating the gum tissue or even pushing debris and bacteria into the sulcus. A gentle sawing motion to pass the floss through the contact, then pull the floss outward. When was your last professional cleaning? If more than six months ago, its time to call for an appointment.

i chiped my wisdom tooth it doesn't hurt but im very over protective of my teeth will all my other teeth fall out i clean rince brush and floss

A : A chip on your wisdom tooth will not mean that all of your other teeth will fall out.

As dr edderai explained, it is probably something minor, but it's best to get it checked out by a dentist. It could be that you have a caivity there and the tooth became weak because of the demineralization.

Can't : Can't tell if you are infected, but from your description it sounds like you have an open cantact in that area. The open contact can be caused by  teeth shat have shifted, a loose or defective filling, or a cavity.

The food you are eating is getting impacted between the teeth, irritating the gum tissue, and causing it to swell a bit. Probably bleeding and sore due to the pressure.

Floss and brush to clean it out, then a little salt water and/or mouthwash brushed into the area to help reduce bacterial count. See your dentist to have it corrected, since left untreated it can not only be annoying, but the inflammation can result in localized bone loss and periodontal pocketing. Also, take otc analgesics to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.

teeth tingling/discomfort. worse after brushing. flossing: some spots hurt. gum disease? no bleeding. how urgent is this? cant see dr. right away.

Urgent: Your body is telling you something is wrong.  You should see your Dentist as soon as possible for evaluation and appropriate treatment.  Delay is not your friend.
