Flank pain: Studies show that the determination of the cause of flank pain depends on the acuity, severity, duration, &amp; character of that pain, in addition to associated symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or fever. 
Distention of the structures of the urinary system from a stone causes flank pain. However, the differential diagnosis is large and includes gastrointestinal maladies &amp; referred chest pain.

See details: Then have it evaluated including a ct scan of the abdomen and pelvis. This needs attention to rule out potentially serious issues.

Yes: It is possible you have a urinary stone in your right ureter(the tube that urine from the kidney goes down to the bladder). You should have a plain Xray of the abdomen and also a renal sonogram. Another option is a CT scan of kidney with contrast. If the pain is severe go to the ER. If your doctor can see you tomorrow it would be less costly. In any case you need to get checked for possible stone.

i have had left side severe flank pain for a month. drs after drs & they have narrowed it down to my endometriosis. but it's never been in my flank?

Problematic: Certainly it would be important to check for kidney stones and other infections. And to check the colon for diverticulosis. But if it is endometriosis then you would need a combination likely of medical and surgical therapy. Would recommend medical treatment first to see if there is any imporovement.

See doc ASAP: Worst pain ever? Don't waste time here, see md, live and in person. Could be a number of things, including some very serious things- kidney, blood vessel, gut, gyn, etc.

UTI? : Kidney infection, or infection in the urinary tract system maybe the cause.  Do you have urgency, feeling like you have to go to the bathroom, then go but not much later it repeats? Does it burn when you go to the bathroom?  Do you wake at night to go to the bathroom?  Then UTI (urinary tract infection) likely the cause.

i have a dull  right side flank pain lasted for like 3 seconds. the pain goes away when i defecate. what does this mean?

Flank pain: You noted blood in urine which is a problem and may be serious.  Please follow up with your doctor or urologist about this for diagnosis and possible treatment.

Could be renal colic: if it severe enough and related to pain at urination &amp;/or blood in the urine could be a renal stone colic. Go to the ED if it persist good luck.,,,!
