Fish Oil: Fish oil supplies essential omega-3 fats that our bodies cannot make on their own.  Among their many effects, they can lower triglycerides, prevent heart disease,  help reduce high blood pressure, and reduce inflammation in the body.  Fish oil helps ward off depression too.  In general, most people need at least 1-2 grams of epa and 500mg dha per day in a fish oil preparation.

Don't Know: Omega 3 fatty acids are suspected to improve patients with macular degeneration.  This has yet to be proven, but a study is underway to determine this exact question. 

Look for data from the "areds 2" study due to come out in the 1-2 years.

No: I am unaware of any studies that have shown this.  Usually when people gain mass in one area its from increasing body fat linked to too many calories consumed, high glycemic foods, exercise (too much or too little) and hormonal changes.

Heart & brain: We don't have good randomized controlled trials demonstrating benefit of fish oil, aside from lowering triglycerides (at expense of raising LDL cholesterol), but most observational studies suggest benefit with regards to heart health. Some studies suggest brain benefit too but these are less rigorous trials. Better than popping pills is eating wild caught fatty fish (but don't fry it!) regularly.

Fish oil: You can get an oily butt by applying fish oil. If you slip off your chair because of a slippery oiled but the swelling from the bruising might increase butt size but otherwise, sorry no big butt from oil.
