i have irregular cycle first ultrasound showed edd oct 3. doc adjusted it to oct 7 and later to sep 23. i m confuse. roughly 6.5 months now pls help?

Ultrasound Dates: I'm a little confused as well.  Early ultrasounds are much more accurate for dating.  The farther along you get the ultrasound will have an error rate in the dates from plus or minus 10 to 14 days or more.  It would be very unusual to change dates like this, but I would check with your doctor for further clarification.

Yes: Yes, for the first year or two after starting periods. After that, they should be regular.   If they are consistently less than 3 weeks apart or more than 6 weeks apart, you should see a gynecologist.

Yes: In the first 1-2 years after the first menstrual periods it is normal to have irregular periods.  If you want to regulate them a doctor can put you on a birth control pill which can help to artificially regulate the cycles.  They usually normalize after a year or so on their own, but sometimes remain abnormal.

Irregular cycle: There are many factors that can make cycles irregular. Very few women have exactly 28 day cycles every month. factors that can affect your cycle include stress, travel, weight gain or loss and some medications.

Is this a question?: Sorry. It's just that you never actually asked a question. Anyhow, if you have any interest in having 'regular' periods since you have dysmenorrhea your best bet would be to start on a form of an OCP (oral contraceptive pill) or some other contraceptive as it would help get you on a 'regular' cycle. Otherwise, I would accept that this is what your body is going to do. :)

had a d&c due to m/c on feb 22.first period on mar.13 but then second period was five days late.is it normal? neg pgt. never had irregular periods.

Yes, normal: Even though your history is of very regular periods, 5 days late does note sound worrisome, it is considered to be within the 'normal' range of period variation.  I would recommend tracking your periods over the next few months and seeing if they get back to their more normal intervals before recommending any further evaluation.

i am 18  and i got my first period when i was 14. now i have irregular periods and sometimes it takes about 3 months without coming. is this normal?

Irregular periods: It can be normal to have irregular periods for several years after you get your first period. Some women's periods do not regulate until their late teens or early 20's. It may be normal, but it wouldn't hurt to see a gynecologist also to be checked for other possible causes, such as hormonal imbalances or PCOS.

Irregular ovulation: is most likely cause, if not pregnant. This can be from polycystic ovarian syndrome, or thyroid issues, for example. Testing and treatment with your doctor is the next best step.

i have my appointment with my gyno the first week of march for a follow up.
i however, have had my period for 17 days now. i have had irregular periods before or slightly extended ones but never to this extent. what should i do ?

Dysfunctional bleed: How many pads/ tampons a day? Use only pads because if a miscarriage pads are safer.  Would call to see if they can see you sooner- esp if more  then 4 pads/d .If more  than 7 go to ER you can loose a lot of blood from dysfunctional bleeding and lower your blood count. If dizzy ,breathless , tired ,go to ER as blood count may be low.  Check for PCOS/ fibroids/ polyps. BC can also cause dysfunction

It : It definitely is possible.  You may not be ovulating and therefore having irregular periods.  I would recommend you see your ob/gyn to further evaluate why you are having irregular periods and what can be done to correct this.  They can also determine if you are ovulating, and if not, how to help with this.
