I have my appointment with my gyno the first week of march for a follow up. i however, have had my period for 17 days now. i have had irregular periods before or slightly extended ones but never to this extent. what should i do ?

Dysfunctional bleed: How many pads/ tampons a day? Use only pads because if a miscarriage pads are safer. Would call to see if they can see you sooner- esp if more then 4 pads/d .If more than 7 go to ER you can loose a lot of blood from dysfunctional bleeding and lower your blood count. If dizzy ,breathless , tired ,go to ER as blood count may be low. Check for PCOS/ fibroids/ polyps. BC can also cause dysfunction
