i'm wondering why are my fingers swollen in the cold?

Reaction: Some people have what is called cold erythema.  This is an allergic type reaction to cold exposure.  The cold air causes histamine to be released and this causes swelling and itching.  You can help this by taking an antihistamine like Claritin or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and try to keep your hand warm or wrap cold items with a towel.

Arthritis?: Sounds like arthritis. The classic syptoms include morning stiffness and swelling that resovles in 30 min. See a hand surgeon or a rheumatologist for an evaluation to make sure this is all it is.

Not Sure: Hard to say what is going on from the limited information you provided.  If just one hand is swollen and stiff, this could be due to over use, arthritis, or inflammation, among other causes.  Other less common casues can be nerve entrapments or circulation problems.  Seems like you should call your doctor for advice.

Capillary: These red spots are most likely due to burst capillaries which leak blood into the skin and take days to weeks to fade. What caused the swelling and discoloration initially? ?infected bite ?allergic reaction ?trauma

It will go away: All the changes in your skin and hair will go away in a short time after your last dose of Taxol (paclitaxel). Most patients are fully recovered in 3 to 6 months. So do not worry about the swelling...there is no treatment for it but your body are repair and normalize it slowly but surely.

Poor equipment fit: This obviously could be something else but the most likely reason is poor fitting equipment. Have you had the holes in your bowling ball professionally assessed? Try that.
Sore wrist is common if you are trying to put spin on the ball and if the ball is too heavy. 
Try wrist guards and a lighter ball.

Circulation.: I am assuming you mean swelling from excess blood flow and not actual blood.
Could be a DVT in the arm. It would be important to have an exam done and maybe some testing.

Go see whats wrong: There are many possibly conditions that can cause this group of symptoms. It could be  as simple as the flu or as serious as an autoimmune disease such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis or a serious infection/  thus you should go see your doctor- in the meantime it may not hurt to try acetaminophen/ibuprofen/naproxen if you dont have an allergy to these meds- but significant enough symptoms to eval.

Hormonal?: This can be related to hormonal changes in the body that occur in females. Also an allergy can cause this but that usually itches around the eye. You should check with your primary care provider to make sure.
