Possible migraine : Your symptoms sound consistent with a migrainous event. The squiggly lines in your vision, the tingling facial sensation, &amp; the numbness in your hand are not infrequently associated with migraines. If this is a new event for you, an eye MD would be helpful to make certain your eyes are okay, and perhaps a neurologist to secure a diagnosis &amp; treatment plan for you. Good luck.

randomly was getting slight pain and numbness in fingers and feet, tightness in neck and face. i also would get slightly dizzy when lifting weights. stopped lifting and symptoms practically went away and then came back when i lifted again ?

Neuro  or vascular :  From your brief description it sounds like you could have some compression on your cervical spinal cord  in your neck  or a compressive neuropathy of peripheral nerves in your hands and feet.  Another possibility is poor blood flow  in your distal extremity is made worse by exercise.  You should definitely mention this phenomenon to your primary care physician.

Carpal tunnel: Carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the most common causes of numbness in the hands (palms and fingers). Usually, the thumb, index and middle fingers are involved, but frequently people report numbness in the entire hand. Wearing wrist splints at night usually helps. You may want to try those.

I'm : I'm assuming it's both hands...

Without seeing you, my best guess would be some sort of vasospasm of the small blood vessels under your skin.  Raynaud's disease / phenomenon is probably the most commonly known vasospastic disease.

I'm not sure whether you should start with a neurologist, rheumatologist or more likely, your primary care physician, who'd be able to assess the situation and make a more appropriate referral.

Try a brace: They most common cause of finger numbness is carpal tunnel syndrome.  This is in essence a pinching of the median nerve at the wrist.  Wearing a supportive wrist brace that keeps you from flexing the wrist may decrease pressure on the nerve resulting in symptom improvement.  Of course, evaluation by a physician is always optimal for diagnosis and treatment.

Finger numbness: Berniew ~ you might be compressing the nerves in the neck or axilla by lying in a position that compresses them. Try sleeping in a different position and see what happens, thanks

Raynaud's phenomenon: This is a vasospastic (spasm of blood vessels) disorder causing discoloration of the fingers, toes, and occasionally other areas, when exposed to temperature change i.E to cold water/air, or even emotional event. When severe, can be quite painful and over time ulcers can occur at tips. Smoking will make this worse. It is treatable...Keep warm/wear gloves. Consult doc for eval/treatment. Good luck.

Neck or wrist: Neck or wrist. Either you did pinched the nerve responsible for the index finger in the neck.the other possibility is the wrist by putting pressure against the median nerve , but that will cause numbness to other fingers as well. If persistent see your doctor

Get checked: When people have raynaud disease, the blood vessels become much more narrow than usual which causes symptoms. Some people with raynaud disease also have another disease that affects their blood vessels. People who have raynaud disease plus another disease affecting their blood vessels can have more severe symptoms. Their attacks can last longer, and they can develop pain or open sores on their fin.

occasionally i get numbness in my left pinkie and ringer fingers it usually occurs when holding my cell phone. numbness last minutes should i worry?

Ulnar Nerve: you are putting pressure on your ulnar nerve. At this point since it is going away there is no need to be concerned.  However, it would be a good idea to avoid those positions as at some point you may cause enough damage for it to stay numb. Take this from a guy who had surgery on one elbow 3 weeks ago and is having surgery on the other in 6 days for this very problem.
