Carpal tunnel: Nocturnal hand numbness and tingling is a classic presentation of carpal tunnel syndrome. These symptoms can awaken the patient, or present when the individual wakes up in the morning. For mild cases, night splinting, anti-inflammatory medication, or corticosteroid injection can be effective. One should seek medical care for further evaluation.
