Tendon injuries in the fingers can be complex injuries that are difficult to repair and may require complicated hand therapy assistance postop for the best result. See a surgeon with specific expertise in the treatment of hand injuries(may be ortho, plastic or general.).

Depends: If you have undergone physical therapy i would advise you to see your surgeon, usually it's 6-8 weeks can be a few months if it was a severe tendon repair.

index finger flexor tendon damage. i cut my finger about 3 months ago thought it would heal on its own. apparently i cut my flexor tendon and can't use my index finger tip at all. can i get surgery for this?

Flexor Tendon: Yes you can.  You need to see a hand surgeon.  Depending on your insurance you may need to see your Primary Care Doctor to be referred.  Don't wait any longer, get it evaluated soon.
