Yes   as soon : As possible , you can plan it and get it removed, they are true adenomas ( vs  fibroadenomas ) not very common, seen in younger age  , some case of malignant transformation was reported

Combined imaging: Evaluation of breast masses included sound wave tests, mammography (breast x-ray), and physical examination as the first tier. If findings are equivocal, a breast MRI (pictures with large magnets) or biopsy may be indicated.

i am 19 year old. i feel a lump in upper lateral portion of left breast. its painless and little motile. is it surely a fibro adenoma?

It could be, but...: ...It's best to be seen by a breast surgeon, just to be sure.  At that time we can do an ultrasound +/- a (nonsurgical) biopsy, confirm the diagnosis and decide the best course of rx (which is often just observation).  I suggest you ask your gyne for a referral.

Need a biopsy: However, breast tumors that are quite round without projections are much more likely to be benign fibroadenomas than something nasty. You still need to have the tumor, or a bit of it, sent to the pathologist. I hope that regardless of the diagnosis that you get a good outcome, and if it is benign, that you continue surveillance.

Benign: What is described on your ultrasound is a benign finding.  However, it needs to be interpreted within the context of why the ultrasound was ordered--is there a palpable abnormality?...An abnormality seen on a mammogram?...Breast pain?  The ultrasound report should include info which tells the ordering physician what the next step is (routine follow-up, close f/u, biopsy)--please talk to your dr.

No: Your doctor will surly want to get blopsies or remove the fibroadenomas but they are not cancerous. It is a little unusual to have several and i'd ask your doctor why.

Ubknown: I would need much more information. A breast "adenoma" is probably meant to be a benign (non-cancerous) fibroadenoma ; would not be related to a pituitary adenoma. The biopsy will give you the information you need.

Lumpy-Bumpy Breasts: Fibrocystic changes are a spectrum of pathologic findings seen on biopsy.  This has morphed into a clinical term for "lumpy-bumpy" breast tissue and/or dense tissue seen on mammography.  This is not a disease, just a variant of normal.  This requires no treatment, just reassurance.

Yes, but...: Yes, it can, but it is usually bilateral. Please check carefully that breast for a subtle actual lump or have a MD perform the exam in her/his office so as not to miss a real developing non fibrocystic problem.

Not abnormal: The term fibrocystic changes is a general if not slightly over used term.
The dr was probably describing  dense breast tissue on mammogram.
Breast tissue density tends to diminish in most women as they age and pass through menopause. Some women maintain dense breast tissue through out there life. It does not have specific connotations. Just a range of normal. Estrogens can increase this.
