Infections vs heat: Fever is almost aways a sign of an infectious process, most commonly viral--it is a natural defense mechanism to increase chemical process/reaction to help ward off the infection. Hyperthermia is often a result of body generating too much heat (i.E exercising/working too hard)and its failure to evaporate the heat quickly, often because of excessive ambient temperature. If you think : You might have mh, you should go to the er immediately for evaluation. Mh is a complex disease that presents with fever, muscle rigidity, hypertension, tachycardia, hypercarbia, and tachypnea.   Nsaids and tylenol (acetaminophen) are both fever reducers.

Night sweats: Although these may be to hormonal changes during adolescence it would be helpful to know when you are taking your temperature. Since sweating is one of the body's ways of lowering temps, you should be taking your temp before the onset of the sweating to see if you have a fever. This is a common occurrence in TB and in some lymphomas. See a doctor.

3-5 days: Viral infections last typically about 3-5 days of fever.  I am not sure why you think it is from overheating.  Bacterial infections may be likely if ear pain, severe cough, sore throat or smelly urine.  Fevers &gt; than 5 days or fevers &gt; than 104 degrees should be evaluation without delay.

Hyperthermia: high body temp can occur with infections, particularly in children.  This can induce seizure.  Extreme exertion in a warm or hot environment also can result in hyperthermia. Soldiers have and are experiencing this trouble. Athletes also experience this trouble in late summer. Construction workers and field workers are at risk also in warm seasons.

MH- temp, HR, etc: Mh is an inherited disease that is typically uncovered after the affected person gets anesthesia for surgery. Symptoms include muscle rigidity, fast, irregular heart rate, rapid rise in body temperature to 104f or higher. Mh can lead to muscle breakdown, kidney failure and death. There may be a family history of mh or unexplained death during anesthesia.
Mh differs from hyperthermia (heat stroke).

Other drugs include ketamine, catecholamines, phenothiazines, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
